Meet the team

Vicar – Jess McLaren

Hi, I’m Jess and I have been the vicar of St Thomas Wilbury since July 2020. You may see me out and about walking my dog Rupert – do come and say hello.

Want to know more about what it means to be a Christian? At St Thomas’ we would love to welcome you and help you in your journey. Jesus said ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full’ – So in the words of Jesus why don’t you ‘Come and see’ and explore what that could mean for you.

God bless,

Jess

Children & Families worker, halls manager – Stacey-Jane Madigan

Hi, I’m Stacey-Jane, and I have worked at St Thomas Wilbury for nearly 2 years as the site and halls manager. My children are now all in school and I have some more time to do the things I enjoy, so, I am thrilled to be the new Children and Families Worker. Before having a family, I worked with children and families in the NHS, so I am really looking forward to working in this new role and being part of the St Thomas’ family.

Stacey continues to also be our site & hall bookings manager. Do visit our hall bookings tab above if you would like to enquire.

Parish Safeguarding Officer – Beth Tranter

I started attending St Thomas in October 2022 and was quickly drawn in to the Church family. In 2023, I became a member of the PCC and was elected as Vice-Chair. My area of special interest is safeguarding all those who use our Church buildings. In May 2024, I was elected as the official Parish Safeguarding Officer for St Thomas. In addition to my Church interests, I enjoy cross-stitching and reading, and am the proud owner of two cats.
