PARISH SAFEGUARDING POLICY STATEMENT
The following policy was agreed at the PCC meeting held on 4th February 2025.
We are committed to the nurturing, protection and safeguarding of all, especially the young and vulnerable.
We are committed to supporting parents and families.
We recognize that child protection is everybody’s responsibility.
We are committed to following the procedures and statutory, Church of England and specialist guidelines for the protection of children and vulnerable adults as set out in the safeguarding section on the Diocese of St Albans website.
We are registered with the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service and follow their recommended policies for safer recruitment of those working with children.
We undertake to exercise proper care in the selection and support of those working with children, whether paid or a volunteer.
We review this policy annually.
